Howlite gemstone is a borate mineral.  It is mainly white with veins of gray, black or dark brown.  It is sometimes dyed and used to look like other stones, especially Kingsman Turquoise. Howlite can be found in Canada,  and California, and also in smaller quantities in Germany, Mexico, Russia, and Turkey. The metaphysical properties are believed to be awareness, wisdom, enlightenment, emotional healing. Howlite is associated with the throat Chakra.
